Day 18...4 October 2012

Very disappointing to have to catch the bus to Leon this morning...but maybe not THAT disappointed as it was one of those non inspiring roads again!  Little toe is not happy, but I have decided to ignore it and it might go away!

The tour of the cathedral was actually really interesting.  Built in the 1200´s.  The architecture still facinates me.  Such detail...just wonder at what cost to the common folk?

Walked the last 7km of the day to Virgen de Camino.  Little peeg still aggravated and I would like to set it free!

The albergue is average but most of the regulars are here, bar one new pilgrim from Utah!

Still a little over the pilgrims meal, so find a supermarket and cook up an awesome pasta...which we share with Martin!  I really enjoy it when the pilgrims get together and share...share life...share memories...share wine and a meal!  The kitchen table is where all the great discussions happens...especially when dark chocolate is involved!

Christian is a writer and Karl is a philospher and start the most interesting conversation...David and Laurent join after their dinner pour their wealth of knowledge into the conversation.  My brain cells are alive...it has been a while.

Sleep is blissful....
