Day 17...3 October 2012

Oh how blissful the morning begins as one has had enough sleep for the night!!

I won´t be boring and tell you about the straight stripes...instead I will revel in the last 6km of our day...wandering farmlands, with mielies standing tall still to be harvested.  Fluffy white cumulounimbus drifting aimlessly through the clear blue sky.

Such joy is taken in soaking up these sights and fantasies that I take a little longer to arrive at our destination.

Thank goodness I took my time...it delayed the shock and horror of a sweltering blister invading my small toe (little piggly is truly not happy).  Did it have to be that aggressive and demand total domination...and on day 17???

The albergue has a peaceful garden where I partake in the medicine created for blisters and let it dry out in the glorious sun!!

The local pharmacy does not have any methiolate...but I manage to cut a small hole in the blister and pour some surgical spirits into it!!!  Once I come to, it is dinner time and the vino tinto does the trick as well as some antibiotic ointment from some very kind pilgrims Rip and Anka from Germany/California!

So the saga continues tomorrow...and we will have to see if the antibiotic cream wins or the bus to Leon!

I am titanium...
